Limitless Prize Pack Giveaway
The film Limitless opens tomorrow, and we think it looks good. It stars Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper, which is a pretty solid one-two punch. Cooper plays Eddie Mora, a writer who discovers a top-secret drug that allows him to use 100 percent of his brain and become a perfect version of himself. With his synapses firing on all cylinders, Eddie transforms into a super human capable of learning at a ridiculous pace. Eddie sets his sights on Wall Street, and comes up big. A big-shot business mogul named Carl Van Loon (played by De Niro) takes notice and invites Eddie to participate in the largest corporate merger of all time. Eddie then has to stave off stalkers, a gangster and the cops while he tries to maximize his abilities with a dwindling stash.
This action-packed thriller opens up tomorrow, and to promote the release, we’re giving away a Limitless prize pack to one lucky visitor that includes the following:

Take Me Home Tonight Giveaway
Take Me Home Tonight, a crazy night out comedy starring Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Dan Fogler and Teresa Palmer, hits theaters this Friday. Set in 1988, the film follows three friends who attend an end-of-summer party to celebrate the waning moments of their youth. It’s got laughs, raging, romance and of course, a ridiculous dance-off.

Season of the Witch Giveaway
At MANjr, we’re partial to Nic Cage movies. Maybe it’s the hair. Maybe it’s the slow talking delivery. Maybe it’s the Free Masons on Bruckheimer flicks like The Rock and Con Air. We can’t really put our finger on it, but as long-hair convict Cameron Poe would say, “it makes no never mind.”
So Nic Cage is coming out with a new film today, Season of the Witch. Here’s a look at the preview:
As you can see, it’s not your typical Nic Cage flick. I think this is the first time Cage has portrayed a 14th Century knight on the big screen. To celebrate Cage’s foray into medieval fantasy movies, we’re doing a little giveaway for the film’s release.

Steve Nash Autographed AR.Drone Giveaway

Well if you’ve waited till the last minute to find a kickass gift, you’re in luck. The AR.Drone quadricopter will set you apart from every other gift giver this Christmas. The Parrot AR.Drone is designed to operate both inside and outside. The average range is an impressive 50 meters/ 160 feet. The thing can fly up to 6 meters/ 20 feet high!
There are two cameras embedded in each AR. Drone, one in the front of the drone and one located underneath the quadricopter facing the ground. You can fly the thing around all by yourself and get a live video feed on your iPhone screen, or you can battle a friend in some head-to-head action. The AR.FreeFlight game and the AR.FlyingAce game are both available through iTunes.

Leaves of Grass DVD Giveaway
This week, MANjr is giving away three DVD copies of the film Leaves of Grass. Written and directed by Tim Blake Nelson, Leaves of Grass is a film is about drugs, murder and brotherly love. It stars Edward Norton, Keri Russel, Richard Dreyfuss and Susan Sarandon. The story centers around two identical twins, both played by Ed Norton. One brother is an Ivy League professor who returns to his hometown in Oklahoma to help his other brother, a weed-growing genius, get out of a jam with a local drug lord. The film features plenty of laughs, action and Norton-on-Norton banter. Here’s a trailer for the movie:

SoBe Squamata Hat and Skate Deck Giveaway
SoBe, the lizard logoed brand of tea, fruit juice, energy and improved water beverages, ran a campaign this summer in LA called the SoBe Squamata Summer Series. The SoBe Squamata truck rolled around Southern California passing out samples and promoting fashion collaborations from artists like Eric Elms, Dr. Romanelli and Craig Redman. Los Angelenos were treated to events that combined art, entertainment, music and fashion.
Now that SoBe Squamata Summer Series has wrapped up its efforts, we’re giving away some custom SoBe gear designed by local artists. Stay in School and Win Money or Random Prizes!
I wish I was still in school. As crazy as that may sound think about the logistics. No work, no bills, guaranteed parties on the weekends and of course random free stuff. Companies love to attach themselves to schools because they know college kids have the most disposable income. This is the reason they giveaway so much free loot!
Case in point LenovoBlogU.com. This site allows students to blog on their site for prizes including a whopping $20K in scholarship money. This opportunity is only for students eligible at accredited universities. That means if you go to your neighborhood community college (*pointing at myself) you are ineligible. We often miss these absolutely free contests because we’re so concerned with getting our work down (or goofing around) that we blow them off.
My advice to young college students is to take advantage of every free opportunity given to you. I made the mistake of only looking for free food deals, (thanks Chipotle) that I missed the bigger picture. I’ve heard stories of students traveling around the world for free, based on a couple emails and an application form. I’m not saying these are common, but they definitely do exist.
Hopefully this inspires all of you to strive for more, and by more I mean the free stuff! If all else fails try betting on your grades. It’s legal, fun and there’s actually a website dedicated to it.
