Dudes, Chicks and Gays All Love Christina Hendricks
The poster girl for ginger-buxom voluptuosity gets attention from all sides. Christina Hendricks, the red delicious apple-bottom beauty from Mad Men, doesn’t just get hit on by dudes. Oh, no. Chicks dig her too.
“Women hit on me. My husband thinks it’s so odd that so many women hit on me,” Hendricks told Harper’s Bazaar.
I can see that. What woman wouldn’t want a piece of that? And if I were her husband I wouldn’t mind chicks checkin’ out my lady on the regular. But wait, there’s more. Hendricks also gets hit on by gay guys.
“They say to me, ‘Well, I’m not straight, but if I was …’ ” Hendricks says. “I think it’s so flattering.”
Hell yeah it’s flattering. If you can turn the heads of heteros and homosexuals, you know you’re sitting at the table with a full stack of chips.
Hendricks is bringin’ curvy back and God bless her for it. Hollywood was obsessed with the wafer-thin, cokehead-girl look for way too long. It’s nice to see old school curves making a comeback. And judging by the attention Hendricks gets, it seems like people of every gender and sexual preference agree.

SCORES will be donating 10 percent of all sales from its restaurant, Robert’s, to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a Dallas-based center “dedicated to education and research about causes, treatment and the search for a cure.”
So if you live in New York and you want to celebrate breasts and breast cancer awareness this month, grab your boys, hit up SCORES, enjoy a good meal and support a good cause.

Comedian Greg Giraldo Dead After Drug Overdose
Comedian Greg Giraldo was hospitalized in New Jersey after an accidental overdose on prescription pills this weekend. Today, he passed away. Sources have said that the accidental overdose wasn’t a suicide attempt. Giraldo has had a history of substance abuse problems, but his death still comes as a total shock.
This is just really sad. Giraldo was a really funny dude. He graduated Harvard Law and worked as a lawyer before turning to comedy. Giraldo was a successful comic who starred in plenty of pilots, but he never really hit that next level of comic success.
He’s probably best known for his appearances on Comedy Central’s Celebrity Roasts, where he always knocked it out of the park. He recently served as a co-host for NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Giraldo was 44 years old. He leaves behind four kids and a lot of sad fans.
Rest in peace, Greg.

Stephen Colbert Congress Testimony Video and Transcript
So Stephen Colbert testified before Congress this morning. He made his comments at the House Judiciary Committee hearing on immigration. Here’s transcript of his opening statements:
“Good morning. My name is Stephen Colbert: television personality, comedian and resident of New York. I would like to thank the committee and its members for their time today and their open minds as I present my statement for the record.
In July of 2010 — in the midst of Arizona’s immigration firestorm — I welcomed Arturo Rodriguez, president of United Farm Workers of America, as a guest on my television show to discuss the impact on harvests in California’s Central Valley. During our interview and subsequent conversation, I learned of his “Take Our Jobs” campaign; offering unemployed Americans farm work, providing necessary training and addressing the chronic and endemic shortage of agriculture laborers across the country. While an enthusiastic endeavor, the project recruited a mere three participants. As a comedian and satirist, the temptation of subjecting my character to manual labor proved impossible to resist. I offered to be the fourth.
Joined by Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren — longtime advocate for farmworkers’ rights — I traveled to Upstate New York, where I spent 10 hours picking beans, packing corn and learning about the stark reality facing American farms and farmers. I learned that many farms are closing, growers are planting less or switching to other crops, and the production of fresh foods and vegetables is moving abroad. I learned that American farmers have moved at least 84,155 acres of production and 22,285 jobs to Mexico, and that between 2007 and 2008, 1.56 million acres of U.S. farmland were shut down; 1.56 million acres is about twice the size of Delaware.
At the request of Congresswoman Lofgren, I am here today to share my experience as an entertainer turned migrant worker and to shed light on what it means to truly take one of the millions of jobs filled by immigrant labor. They say that you truly know a man after you’ve walked a mile in his shoes, and while I have nowhere near the hardships of these struggling immigrants, I have been granted a sliver of insight.
Thank you very much for the opportunity to share my testimony.”

Weezer – AXE One Night Only Show (Videos)
Weezer played a secret show sponsored by AXE at the Dunes Inn Motel in Hollywood on Tuesday, and it was sick. The second installment of the AXE Music “One Night Only” concert series was definitively a hit (the first One Night Only concert was a TI show in New York that sounded like a pretty sweet time as well). The Weezer show featured an open bar, free food, celebs and a chance to see a great live band in the intimate setting of a motel courtyard on Sunset and Western.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom were there (Odom looked bored as hell, but hey, way to support the band, Lamar). Vanessa Hudgens, My Chemical Romance and the big guy from LOST were also in attendance. Jorge Garcia (aforementioned big guy) had his face selected by Weezer for their new album cover, Hurley. Jorge got to introduce the band and even did a number with them on stage.
AXE puts on great events, and this was no exception. The line outside was massive, but once people got in, they were treated to free drinks & snacks, great music and good energy. You can’t ask for much more than that on Monday night in Hollywood.
Rivers Cuomo and company certainly know how to put on a show. The band played “My Name is Jonas” with My Chemical Romance, did that entertaining MGMT/Lady Gaga cover, played some newer stuff, a lot of older stuff, and just jammed out and kept the crowd involved throughout the entire set. Jessica Alba Wants to Tone Down Her Sexiness, World Says Too Bad
Jessica Alba doesn’t want to be seen as a sex symbol anymore. All this photo shoot stuff in bikinis with water dripping down her face is out the window. Topless blond on the bed shots? Those are gone too. Raised-ass paparazzi beach photos? Kiss ‘em goodbye.
Jessica Alba’s a mom now, so she needs to be respectable. She wants to clean up her act and start making some more family friendly movies. Dads who have to take their kids to Disney flicks are extremely happy about this turn of events.
“I think there is a nice balance between ‘family friendly’ and more adult films, but it would be fun to do more films that my daughter can see,” Alba said.
Jessica Alba’s has a two-year old daughter named Honor that she made with film her husband, producer/luckiest-man-alive Cash Warren. Having Alba’s baby is an honor most dudes would kill for.
But seriously people, Alba wants to find more serious woman roles. No more of this stripper in Sin City or hooker in The Killer Inside Me stuff.
“I like finding a character who finds herself, finds strengths and actually uses her damn stilettos (for a purpose) instead of just killing her feet,” the Teen Choice Award winner said.
Hopefully Alba comes back to her senses. It’s her right to want to tone down her sexiness, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to stick. Here are a few reasons why:
- 2001: No.1, Hot 100 list (Maxim)
- 2002: No. 5, Sexiest Female Star (Hollywood.com)
- 2002: No.4, Top 10 Sci-Fi Babes
- 2002: No.6, Sexiest Girls (FHM)
- 2002: No.12, 102 Sexiest Women in the World (Stuff)
- 2005: No.5, Hot 100 list (Maxim)
- 2005: 50 Most Beautiful People (People Magazine)
- 2006: 25 Sexiest Celebrities (Playboy)
- 2006: No.3, 101 Sexiest Celebrity Bodies (E! Television)
- 2006: No.1, 99 Most Desirable Women (AskMen.com)
- 2006: Most Sexy Woman in the World (Norwegian FHM)
- 2007: Most Sexy Woman in the World (Norwegian FHM)
- 2007: No.2, Hot 100 list (Maxim)
- 2007: 100 Most Beautiful People (People Magazine)
- 2007: Winner, Sexiest Woman in the World (FHM)
- 2007: No.1, Sexiest Girls of 2007 (FHM)
- 2007: No.4, 100 Sexiest Movie Stars (Empire Magazine)
- 2008: No.34, Hot 100 list (Maxim)
- 2008: No.2, Sexiest Women of TV (Wired)
- 2008: Sexiest Women in Film of All Time (GQ)
- 2009: No.13, Hot 100 list (Maxim)
And that shit’s just from Wikipedia!
Jessica Alba has no chance of shedding her image as an incredibly scrumptious, drool-worthy slice of hot ‘n sexy amazingess. Sorry, it just won’t happen. It’s gotta be that way. This chick’s gonna be bangin’ well into her 70s. I can see it now:
ALBA: More than 40 years ago, I tried to shed my image as a sex symbol.
GILF WEEKLY: Hahahaha. That’s hilarious.
ALBA: I know but I’d really like to make more films that my great granddaughter could see.

AXE Conducts Research to Find Out What Scents Turn Girls On
AXE recently teamed up with the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation to find out what scents really turn girls on. In addition to breaking down the top female scent preference in 10 cities, the study also shows that girls really do care a whole lot about dudes and how they smell.
Here’s a map and some quick highlights from the study:
Couple of observations:
- If you live in Philly and you do your laundry on the regular, you have a leg up on most dudes
- BBQ sauce turns girls on in Texas. This does not surprise anyone.
- Manhattan girls love coffee breath. It’s true.
- In San Diego, girls love beach dudes (and flip flops)!
- Koalas are cute, but in Phoenix, Arizona, they’re extra sexy.
- Dudes in Atlanta smell like cherries?

Review of Superdraft 2010
What do you get when you take 2,000 fantasy football nerds, countless beautiful women, tons of football-lovin’ celebs, a handful of fantasy experts and put ‘em all in the Palms Casino in Vegas? The ultimate fantasy football draft experience, aka Fantasy Football Superdraft 2010.
The MANjr team was more than happy to attend this year’s epic fantasy football celebration. We weren’t really sure what to expect when we got there, but we were certainly impressed.
The Superdraft was designed to give fantasy football players a more memorable drafting experience. Why make your picks on your laptop at home when you can grab your boys and party it up in Vegas? Saturday was the main draft day. Players who reserved spots were making their picks, consulting with experts and checking out celebs.
Ashton Kutcher, TJ Jefferson and Nathan Zegura (aka The Fantasy Consultant) hosted a live fantasy football show on Friday. Stacy Kiebler hosted a VIP party at the Rain Nightclub inside the Palms. Kiebler knows her stuff too. She’s a former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader and diehard Ravens fan who was drafting her squad in the main draft room on Saturday. Shannon Elizabeth had her own Superdraft party at the LAX nightclub at Luxor as well. While Kiebler gets props for being a former cheerleader, Elizabeth gets extra points for sporting a Troy Polamalu jersey on draft day.
Outside of all the celebs, you had throngs of jaw-dropping beautiful girls running around all weekend. Everywhere you turned you’d see babe armies making all the fantasy football heads nervous and happy. Whenever we rounded a corner at the Palms, troops of gorgeous gals (I’m looking at you Miller Lite girls) were marching down the casino floor.
All the draft day action, VIP parties, celebs and eye candy aside, the best part of the weekend by far was the Tailgate Concert that Snoop Dogg put on. What an incredible show. Not like this is news or anything, but that guy Snoop can really rock a crowd. He came out with a bada dada da and the crowd erupted for the “Next Episode.” Snoop played all the favorites. He mixed the old with the new:
“Nuthin’ But a G Thang”
“Who Am I (What’s my Name?)”
“Gin and Juice”
“Drop It Like It’s Hot”
“Sensual Seduction”
“I Wanna Rock”
That set would’ve been amazing by itself, but Snoop showed all kinds of range. He did a “Rock Steady” duet with Fantasia and a cover of “Jump Around.” Snoop paid tribute to 2Pac with “Hail Mary” and “2 of Americaz Most Wanted.” Everyone in attendance lost it to “Ain’t No Fun (If the Homies Can’t Have None)” with Kurupt and Warren G both there doing their thing on stage. When Warren G busted out “Regulators,” the crowd went nuts.
At one point in the show, Demi Moore got on stage and got all nasty with Snoop while Ashton took photos with his phone. There’s something to tweet about, big guy. It’s hard to look cool when your hot wife’s getting down with the Doggfather, but Ashton was on the receiving end of some Demi freakin’ as well. Damn, that lady’s fit.
I don’t see how this annual draft bonanza doesn’t get bigger every year. It’s too smart. The formula works too well. Babes (yea, model search!), clubs, fantasy experts, celebs, good music and a party atmosphere for your imaginary football team selection festivities – I can’t think of a better way to kickoff the season.

head & shoulders Insures Troy Polamalu’s Hair for $1 Million
Troy Polamalu is a lot of things. He’s a bone-crushing, acrobatic force of nature on the football field. He’s a family man, a piano player and a deeply spiritual and soft-spoken dude. He’s the key to the Pittsburgh’s playoff hopes this season. When he’s not covering the entire football field on every defensive snap, he grows flowers, makes furniture and serves as the spokesman for head & shoulders.
It’s a brilliant pairing, really. Polamalu’s hair has become his trademark. The guy hasn’t been to a barber shop in over seven years, so he obviously knows how to take care of that crazy mane.
Well head & shoulders is taking care of Troy’s hair, too. Big time. It was announced today that the company has taken out a $1 million insurance policy on Troy’s signature hair.
“head & shoulders has gone above and beyond this year by insuring my Samoan locks for a cool $1 million. This reinforces that my full and thick hair is unstoppable,” Polamalu said.
Polamalu’s hair will be protected throughout the NFL season by Lloyd’s of London, one of the most prestigious insurance agencies in the world.
“In developing this unique policy, we recognize that Troy Polamalu’s famed head of hair is truly legendary and we are proud to partner with head & shoulders to protect it,” said Jonathan Thomas of Watkins Syndicate at Lloyd’s of London.
Troy’s hair is such a useful marketing tool that it’s been given its own website – TroysHair.com. You can visit the interactive site to learn more about Troy’s hair (end to end it spans over 100 football fields), Hair Endurance for Men from head & shoulders and possibly win some NFL prizes like a VIP package to Super Bowl XLV.
