Jordan Brand Will Release The Jordan I Shattered Backboard
Michael Jordan is known for many things on the basketball court. Some might forget that he broke a backboard during a game. It wasn’t in an NBA game or in college. This shattering event took place during a Nike exhibition match played in Italy in 1985. To bring back that memory the Jordan Brand created the Air Jordan I “Shattered Backboard.”
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG has a black/white/orange colorway to match the uniform that Michael wore during the game. It also has a graphic insole that references his high-flying, glass-shattering maneuver. The Jordan release date for the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” is currently set for June 27 and will cost you $160.

Reebok Classic Teams Up With Melody Eshani For The “CL LTHR LUX ME”
Reebok is at it again with some fantastic shoe designs. Reebok always seems to think outside the box and look at shoe design on a whole new level. It continues with the Reebok Classic x Melody Ehsani collaboration. It kicks off Fall 2015 with the introduction of a vibrant Classic Leather Lux sneaker, designed to reflect Melody’s edgy street style.
The CL LTHR LUX ME, covered from sockliner to laces in gradient python print, will have trendsetters rejoicing as Melody drops this colorful shoe just in time for late summer. The CL LTHR LUX ME is complete with Melody’s signature lace embellishment for an extra flash and a “brick” rubber outsole that will leave a fierce mark in fashion. This style seamlessly continues Melody’s inspirational messaging with “Just be your yourself” described on the vamp. The CL LTHR LUX ME also features Melody’s signature take on the modern evil eye, which works to ward off all negativity.
Said Melody Ehsani of the collaboration: “I’ve often heard musicians say that they see color when they hear certain songs. When I was working on this shoe, I was doing a lot of internal work, struggling with trying to find answers to some of life’s big questions. I’ve done enough work up to this point to know that I just had to go deeper within myself. When I did, I developed a greater awareness of myself, understanding that the core of me is limitless. We are concrete individuals in a physical world, however we come from an abstract source. The emotion of that limitlessness was best understood to me through the gradation of these colors that I applied to the signature python pattern on this particular shoe.”
The CL LTHR LUX ME will retail for $149.99 and is currently available at www.melodyehsani.com and Melody’s LA store at 424 1/2 North Fairfax Ave, LA, CA 90036.
You can also get these kicks at shops like Extra Butter, Addict, Villa, Shoe City and Reebok.com.

Parrot Bay Has Your Ultimate Summer Beach Checklist
How many times will you be heading to the beach this summer? In the past did you make it on the sand and realize that you forgot stuff either in your car or home? You don’t want to turn back and give up your prime spot so you just toughed it out. Now you won’t make that mistake again. Parrot Bay has your ultimate summer beach checklist you should look over before hitting the beach. This list also helps for when you are going to a BBQ or any other fun event this summer.
Homemade popsicles – Mix frozen fruit, ice and a splash of club soda in a blender and pour into fun shaped containers and freeze overnight.
Spray water bottle – For your personal water mister on-the-go to keep cool on hot days
SPF – Don’t forget to lather on the sunscreen for those extra-sunny days
Parrot Bay Margaritas with Coconut Water – This reduced calorie ready-to-drink margarita offers a delicious margarita taste in an 8 oz. sized can, perfect for when your packing up that cooler.
Water – It’s important to always remember to keep hydrated on hot days, especially when enjoying a cocktail.
So there you have it. Now you are ready for the summer.
I also took part in the Parrot Bay Margarita Showdown. I was sent a tasting kit that had two unmarked cans that were ready-to-serve margaritas. One was labeled A and the other was labeled B. I opened up each one and poured into a glass with a salt rim.
I tried the can A. It was just okay, but it had a musty undertone taste to it. Can B was different. The taste was lighter and crisp. I ripped off both of the covers on each can. Can A was Bud Light Lime-A-Rita and Can B was the Parrot Bay Margarita with Coconut Water. Both were in an 8 oz. slim line can. For me the Parrot Bay Margarita will be perfect for those hot summer days when you are looking to enjoy a nice cocktail responsibly.

2016 Will Be On Fire For Jordan Brand
As you probably have guessed by now I am a sneakerhead. My first choice of kicks is from the Air Jordan line. I love these sneakers all the way back when I was a kid. Jordan Brand just announced some fantastic shoes that will be coming out next year. I can’t wait especially for the Air Jordan V’s.
Throughout his career, Michael Jordan consistently elevated his game to extraordinary heights, achieving feats that include recording eight steals in the first half against Boston in 1988, scoring 69 points in a single playoff game, and ultimately retiring with the league’s highest scoring average of 30.1 points per game. For spring 2016, Jordan Brand celebrates its namesake’s career highs by introducing three legacy shoe collections that pay homage to these soaring moments of greatness.
Inspired by two iconic images of Jordan, the “Poster” Collection features the Air Jordan II and Air Jordan XII.
The Air Jordan II “Wing It” pays tribute to the brand’s ad campaign that coincided with the shoe’s original release in 1986. White, black and dark gray, the AJ II “Wing It” includes wings on the shoe’s heels that capture the spirit of Jordan’s effortless game above the rim.
In celebration of the shoe’s 20th anniversary, this Air Jordan XII pulls inspiration from the iconic “The Master” poster. A black base grounds the shoe, while hints of white and gold play off the poster’s radiant lines.
30 years ago, Michael Jordan shocked the world by unveiling exclusive colored-up performance footwear on the hardwood. His bold, instantly recognizable shoes sparked a worldwide craze. Presently known as player exclusives, these unique on-court color ways are highly prized by athletes and collectors alike.
As a celebration of the Air Jordan Franchise’s 30th Anniversary, the brand unveils three retro silhouettes that stem from this phenomenon and posit what Jordan’s player exclusive footwear would look like. The Air Jordan II, Air Jordan IV and Air Jordan V Low incorporate colors consistent with the Chicago-based team Jordan played for during his early years in the league.
The Dunk from Above Collection
Inspired by Michael Jordan’s relentless ability to take flight, the “Dunk From Above” shoe collection incorporates colorways and materials that support the seasonal theme of soar.
The Air Jordan 1 Nouveau, the first shoe in the Jordan Brand franchise to include the Wings logo, features a classic flat leather finish and a color shifting Nike Swoosh inspired by aviator goggles.
The Air Jordan IV, which introduced the word ‘Flight’ onto a basketball shoe, features an inner label with a midnight navy and metallic gold design.
With a similar color theme featuring metallic gold accents and ice outsole, the Air Jordan V Low nods to the idea of flight by taking design cues from a World-war II fighter plane.

Fore Jordan: Introducing The Flight Runner Golf Shoe
It was only a matter of time when us amateur golfers could play a round with Michael Jordan. Well maybe not the man himself, but at least you can play in his golf cleats.
Since retiring from basketball, Jordan has fueled his competitive drive on the golf course, inspiring Jordan Brand designers to create this new performance silhouette. The limited-edition offering combines one of Jordan Brand’s premium training styles, the Jordan Flight Runner 2, with Nike Golf’s innovative Nike Free-inspired tooling.
“The Jordan Flight Runner Golf is the perfect combination of Jordan and Nike innovation coupled with Michael’s love for the game of golf,” said Larry Miller, President, Jordan Brand. “This is the same formula that helped us create some of the most iconic shoes over the past thirty years and we are excited to bring Jordan Brand energy to the golf course.”
The Jordan Flight Runner Golf combines mesh and synthetic materials in the upper for lightweight support and breathability, while the shoe’s dynamic Nike Flywire provides the ultimate lockdown fit. The midsole contains a forefoot moderation plate that stabilizes the foot when twisting and the lightweight injected unit delivers maximized comfort on the course. The outsole’s TRI-LOK soft spikes and Free-inspired construction provide a flexible and supportive ride.
The Jordan Flight Runner Golf will be available on June 18th, exclusively on Jordan.com, for a suggested retail price of $200. Stay tuned to @Jumpman23 in the coming months for golf shoe updates.

Cool Gift Ideas To Give Dad For Father’s Day
I think we are all past the point of getting dad a tie for Father’s Day. That gift is more cliché and I really haven’t thought that a tie was a great gift at all. Now we might fall into the rut of getting dad the same thing over and over again. Well here are two gift ideas that you can get your father that he will like.
The first gift idea is whiskey. Why not get him a whiskey that is known for its quality. Jack Daniel’s has a large variety of different whiskeys for your budget.
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire
With the exponentially growing flavored whiskey category, and the huge success of Tennessee Honey, Jack Daniel’s nationally launched Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire earlier this year with blazing success. Finely crafted with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey and blended with a proprietary all natural red hot cinnamon liqueur, Jack Fire delivers a smooth, whiskey-forward drinking experience enhanced by a sweet yet complex hot-cinnamon finish. Its elevated character and flavor profile lend itself to enjoying on the rocks, mixing cocktails, and is the perfect gift for the new-to-whiskey drinker in your life.
It has a suggested retail price of $22.99 and is available in a 750ml bottle.
Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select
A fine, hand-crafted single barrel whiskey with a robust flavor and Jack Daniel’s smooth charcoal-mellowed character. The world’s only charcoal-mellowed single barrel whiskey is Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select. Just one out of every 100 barrels are set aside to mature in the highest reaches of our barrelhouses, where dramatic temperature changes cause the color and taste to deepen further. This product is the perfect option for those with a strong appreciation for premium whiskey. You can pick a bottle up for a retail price of $45 – $49 for 750ml in U.S.
Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select
Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select, crafted from special “Sinatra barrels” and bottled at 90 proof, is truly something spectacular. These Sinatra barrels have deep grooves on the inside of the staves — which exposes the whiskey to extra layers of oak. This imparts a rich amber color, bold character and a pleasant smokiness, followed by an incredibly smooth vanilla finish. The ‘Nectar of the Gods,’ as Frank often referred to his favorite whiskey, could be seen with the entertainer on stages throughout the world from the 1950s through the 1990s. Sinatra would always offer a toast to his audience with a glass of Jack Daniel’s in hand. Now you can offer your own toast to Sinatra with this premium whiskey. This sells for around $185.
For the dad who was in the military this next gift would be a great fit. It is from Duke Cannon.
There is the limited edition item for Father’s Day, 2015. It is Duke Cannon’s Father’s Day Kit. It includes the following items that are very cool and some are very nostalgic. You would get one military issued .30cal field box. There are three ‘Big Ass’ Bricks of Soap: ‘Smells like Accomplishment,’ ‘Smells like Victory,’ and ‘Heavy Duty’ Hand Soap with one Superior Grade Shave Cream. You also get one three-pack sleeve of Duke Cannon x Calloway custom Golf Balls, Limited Edition.
Does your dad like fishing? Well there are three fishing lures in there and you and your dad can both talk about the one that ‘got away.’ There is a Stanley Phillips-Head Screwdriver, one bag of Country Archer Beef Jerky, one bag of David’s Original Sunflower Seeds, one bag of Big League Chew, and one pack of 1987 Tops Baseball Cards.

Hang Ten And Chill With A Surfer’s Martini
I have tried surfing a few times. To be honest I was awful at it. It is much tougher than it looks. Yet I think I can handle a surfer’s martini. The Surfer’s Martini, made famous on the sands of Southern California by the thrill-seeking, wave-chasing duo that created Peligroso Tequila, is a simple-yet-stirring twist on the classic cocktail.
In case you didn’t know June 19th is National Martini Day. So if you are at the beach on that date or heck even at home you might want to try to make the Surfer’s Martini. Just consider trading in the vermouth and olives for something with a little more thrill and a lot more agave. As always please enjoy responsibly.
Surfer’s Martini
1.5 oz. Peligroso Silver Tequila
Lime Slice
Pour Peligroso Silver Tequila into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with lime.

It Started With The Air Jordan I. Get Yours This Weekend
You will never forget your first. Nike and Jordan Brand are bringing back the shoe and colorway that started the Air Jordan franchise. It all started with the one. White. Black. Varsity Red. Words can be thrown around about how “timeless” and “classic” these are, and they wouldn’t be wrong. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG returns in the original colorway, helping celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Jordan Brand. Get yours tomorrow on Nike.com.
The Air Jordan I was first released in 1985 to the public. Michael Jordan came into the league in 1984 and did not wear the Air Jordan I until halfway through his rookie year when Nike finally made the shoe available for him. The first Air Jordan was red and black. Nike used that colorway of red and black to match the Chicago Bulls colors. When Michael finally wore the pair in an NBA game, he was fined by the league because the shoe did not have the color white on it. Every time Michael wore the red and black Air Jordan I, he was fined $5,000. Jordan signed a five year contract with Nike for $2.5 million when he came into the league, so the fine wasn’t that hard to take.
Nike took the “outlawed” shoes and used it in their ad campaign to sell the first Air Jordan. There were a few commercials out there to sell the sneaker. One was of Michael Jordan dunking at a playground, one was the “Banned” ad that had MJ’s kicks get censored in the TV spot, and one even had Jordan playing Santa Claus. Before Jordan NBA players did have their own shoe, but no shoe has ever had the fanfare the Air Jordan line has had with sneakerheads.
