Taste Summer With These Seasonal Cocktails
Do you smell that? No I am not going into a WWE Rock style monologue. I am wondering if wherever you are right now you can smell the intoxicating smells of a backyard barbeque. We are now if full swing of grilling season. The grill and smoker are being put to use every weekend.
What are you going to serve with those mouthwatering burgers and kabobs? How about some delicious and refreshing cocktails inspired by Captain Morgan? We got you covered this summer with three new drink recipes that are sure to pair up perfectly with your grub!
Captain Morgan’s Pirate Paradise
1 oz. Captain Morgan Grapefruit Rum
.5 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
.75 oz. Lime Juice
.5 oz. Honey Syrup
2 oz. Coconut Water
Directions: Shake and strain over ice into a Collins glass. Garnish with ¼ of a grapefruit wheel.
Put the Thai in the Coconut
1.5 oz. Captain Morgan Coconut Rum
.75 oz. Lime Juice
.75 oz. Simple Syrup
3 Slices Fresh Lemon Grass, Muddled
1 Slice Jalapeño Pepper, Shaken (to taste)
Directions: Muddle, shake all and fine-strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a skewered jalapeño slice.
Captain Morgan’s Sunset Sipper
1.5 oz. Captain Morgan Pineapple Rum
1 oz. Orange Juice
1.5 oz. Coconut Cream
Ground Nutmeg / Cinnamon Blend
Directions: Shake all & strain over ice into a double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with dusted nutmeg / cinnamon.

Jordan Brand Will Release The Jordan I Shattered Backboard
Michael Jordan is known for many things on the basketball court. Some might forget that he broke a backboard during a game. It wasn’t in an NBA game or in college. This shattering event took place during a Nike exhibition match played in Italy in 1985. To bring back that memory the Jordan Brand created the Air Jordan I “Shattered Backboard.”
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG has a black/white/orange colorway to match the uniform that Michael wore during the game. It also has a graphic insole that references his high-flying, glass-shattering maneuver. The Jordan release date for the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” is currently set for June 27 and will cost you $160.

Reebok Classic Teams Up With Melody Eshani For The “CL LTHR LUX ME”
Reebok is at it again with some fantastic shoe designs. Reebok always seems to think outside the box and look at shoe design on a whole new level. It continues with the Reebok Classic x Melody Ehsani collaboration. It kicks off Fall 2015 with the introduction of a vibrant Classic Leather Lux sneaker, designed to reflect Melody’s edgy street style.
The CL LTHR LUX ME, covered from sockliner to laces in gradient python print, will have trendsetters rejoicing as Melody drops this colorful shoe just in time for late summer. The CL LTHR LUX ME is complete with Melody’s signature lace embellishment for an extra flash and a “brick” rubber outsole that will leave a fierce mark in fashion. This style seamlessly continues Melody’s inspirational messaging with “Just be your yourself” described on the vamp. Celebs Out In Full Force At E3
If you are missing out on being at E3 don’t you worry we got you covered. This week Activision showed up to the E3 Convention and brought some of their closest friends. There were appearances by Josh Duhamel at Skylanders SuperChargers, Rosario Dawson at Call of Duty, Zach Braff at Destiny and Bella Thorne & Emily Osment at Guitar Hero Live.
Josh Duhamel at Skylanders SuperChargers- Josh is the voice of High Volt in the new Skylanders SuperChargers video game out September 20th. Just in time for Father’s Day, Josh made an appearance at the booth with his son Axl to talk about his first experience voicing a character in a video game, plans for Father’s Day (looking to you Fergie!) and how this video game is a way for him to connect with his son & nephews. Additional celebrities that stopped by the booth included Neil McDonough, Ty Simpkins from Jurassic Park, Scott Porter and more.
Rosario Dawson was at Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 booth. She is a big fan of the Call of Duty series and got hands-on with Black Ops 3, which features playable female characters in both the campaign and multiplayer modes, a first for the series. Although Rosario has not voiced a Call of Duty character yet, she tells us she’d love the opportunity, and her future Daredevil costar Jon Bernthal and her would then share a connection, as Bernthal has previously voiced a character in Call of Duty. Additional celebrities that stopped by to play Call of Duty include Karl-Anthony Towns (anticipated #1 NBA draft pick), Jay Ellis (actor), Joe P. Harris (actor), Kenneth Faried (Denver Nuggets), Ty Lawson (Denver Nuggets) and Michael Bisping (UFC fighter).
Bella Thorne and Emily Osment at Guitar Hero Live – Bella Thorne and Emily Osment are big fans of Guitar Hero Live and came together at E3 to play the game for the very first time. Guitar Hero Live showcased GHTV, the world’s first official playable music video network for hundreds of fans. Rock legends Avenged Sevenfold also joined the masses to check out the highly anticipated game.
Zach Braff was spotted at the Destiny: The Taken King booth. The Taken King is due out September 15. Braff, a new player to the game, comments on how much he enjoys playing the game with friends, and how it has helped connect with his 15 year-old nephew, who is a die-hard fan of the game.

I also took part in the Parrot Bay Margarita Showdown. I was sent a tasting kit that had two unmarked cans that were ready-to-serve margaritas. One was labeled A and the other was labeled B. I opened up each one and poured into a glass with a salt rim.
I tried the can A. It was just okay, but it had a musty undertone taste to it. Can B was different. The taste was lighter and crisp. I ripped off both of the covers on each can. Can A was Bud Light Lime-A-Rita and Can B was the Parrot Bay Margarita with Coconut Water. Both were in an 8 oz. slim line can. For me the Parrot Bay Margarita will be perfect for those hot summer days when you are looking to enjoy a nice cocktail responsibly.

The most talented bladesmiths in the world will test their mettle in “Forged in Fire,” a cutting-edge competition series coming to History this summer. Hosted by Willis, the series will feature world-class bladesmiths creating many of history’s most iconic edged weapons, from the Japanese katana to the medieval broadsword to ancient throwing blades like the Chakram. Production has started in Brooklyn, New York.
In each episode, four master bladesmiths will put their skills and reputations on the line, trying to avoid elimination while using traditional and state-of-the-art tools and machinery to turn raw metal into authentic working versions of classic bladed weapons of yesteryear. In the hands of these gifted craftsmen, every weapon is not just a lethal instrument of war, but also an elegant work of art. The colorful histories of these weapons will be told throughout the forging process. Then the weapons will be assessed and tested by a panel of internationally recognized judges.
Joining Willis will be a judging panel of renowned experts: J. Neilson, a Pennsylvania-based Mastersmith who has been making knives and edged weapons for more than 20 years; Doug Marcaida, a New York-based hand-to-hand combat specialist who has studied and mastered fighting styles and techniques around the world; and David Baker, a California-based authority known for replicating period-accurate weapons, from submachine guns to samurai swords, for both museums and films.

Ford GT Looks To Make Comeback At The Le Mans
Love racing? Check! Love Ford? Check! Here is some fantastic news for those who answered yes to both questions. Ford announced that they are returning to one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world with its new Ford GT race car, based on the all-new ultra-high-performance supercar that goes on sale next year.
The Ford GT race car will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans – referred to by many as the Grand Prix of Endurance and Efficiency – starting next year. Revealed today at the famous circuit in Le Mans, France, Ford GT will compete in the Le Mans GT Endurance class for professional teams and drivers (LM GTE Pro).
The new race car – a further proof point of Ford innovation – is based on the all-new Ford GT supercar unveiled in January. Both the production car and race car will arrive in 2016 to mark the 50th anniversary of Ford GT race cars placing 1-2-3 at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. Ford went on to repeat its victory at Le Mans in 1967, 1968 and 1969.
