“We Are Blood” is an upcoming film that stars Paul Rodriguez and other top skateboarders. We get to take this journey with them as the travel all around the world. You will get to see them pushing the limits of what’s possible on a board and four wheels while celebrating the unconditional brotherhood they have from each of their passion for skateboarding.
The film is directed by Ty Evans, “We Are Blood” was filmed using state-of-the-art cameras that captured the most cutting-edge, progressive skating you could ever imagine. Russell Westbrook Inks Landmark Deal
Today, Mountain Dew took a vertical leap and announced a multi-year partnership with basketball all-star and cultural icon, Russell Westbrook. The partnership with Westbrook, who is known for his creative personality on and off the basketball court, marks the original flavor’s first national partnership with a pro basketball player and will tip off an entirely new extension of the Mtn Dew® Kickstart™ “It All Starts with a Kick” campaign.
As the newest member of DEW Nation, Westbrook will be the face of Mtn Dew Kickstart, including the two new bold flavors – Pineapple Orange Mango and Strawberry Kiwi – that fuse an energizing blast of DEW with real fruit juice, coconut water and just the right amount of kick which hit shelves in January 2015. The partnership officially kicks off in New York City as we lead into the hottest weekend in professional basketball and fans will get a first look on February 14 when a new TV commercial airs, starring Westbrook and his buddies.

Mountain Dew Welcomes Florida Georgia Line to Dew Nation
Mountain Dew announced a national partnership with Florida Georgia Line, establishing the iconic beverage brand as a sponsor of the superstar duo’s 2015 ANYTHING GOES worldwide headlining tour and the award-winning team of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley as the newest members of DEW Nation.
“Pushing conventional boundaries and instigating cultural shifts is something that has always been core to Mountain Dew,” said Greg Lyons, Vice President of Marketing, Mountain Dew. “Florida Georgia Line’s unique sound has progressed country music and transcended traditional country music audiences since first hitting the scene. Mtn Dew All-Stars Team Up For A “Baja Breakout”
In April Mountain Dew announced that, for the first time, Mtn Dew Baja Blast – which was introduced 10 years ago as a “Taco Bell Original” – will also be available for a limited time in bottles and cans. The tropical lime flavored beverage hit shelves starting on May 5. While Mtn Dew Baja Blast is always available at Taco Bell, consumers will have to move fast to buy it at retail, as the fan-favorite will head back to Taco Bell exclusively at the end of the summer…or when supplies run out.
Mtn Dew Baja Blast is the second largest and fastest growing fountain beverage sold at Taco Bell. It is the most requested flavor among the DEW Nation, and has generated more than 30,000 mentions on Twitter in the past three years.
Mtn Dew Baja Blast will be available in single serve 20 oz. bottles and 24 oz. cans, as well as 12-packs of 12 oz. cans.
On May 5, fans will also be able to download and play the “Baja or Bust” mobile gaming app. Based upon the widely-played Motocross Elite app, “Baja or Bust” will be available for iOS and Android platforms and will enable players to enter for a chance to win exciting prizes, including adventure and beach vacations; and be able to enter codes, available under every cap of Mtn Dew Baja Blast, to unlock in-game upgrades and advantages.

Mtn Dew Gives College Students The Ulitmate Wingman, A Koala!
I remember some nights during my college years where my roommates and I would just sit on the couch. We were waiting for something to kick start the night. It was almost like a delivery guy was going to bring the party to us. How cool would that have been? Well today, college kids can rejoice as Mountain Dew announced that Kicks the Koala is making house calls to rescue you from the lame and open you to the awesome.
That’s right, in the know college students will have a chance to have a human-sized koala named Kicks and his Hype Crew kick start their night simply by sending a tweet to the Mountain Dew Twitter handle – @mtn_dew – using the #GimmeKicks hashtag within the Tweet. Why? Because, who doesn’t want to hang with a 6-foot, party-rocking Koala? Please see images of Kicks being Kicks below.
Winners will be selected and notified via direct message immediately upon selection and Kicks, the most interesting human-sized Koala in the world, will arrive shortly – supplies in hand to kick start the night.

Mountain Dew and Legendary Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez Collaborate
Mountain Dew® today announced the launch of Green Label Studios: Open Call – a first-of-its-kind nationwide content project inviting content creators of all genres to submit their best work for the chance to win the gig of a lifetime: a $250,000 production grant to create content for Green-Label.com, a digital hub created by Mountain Dew and Complex Media that covers the voices and stories of today’s youth culture. The winner also receives an opportunity to be mentored by acclaimed film director and founder of El Rey Network, Robert Rodriguez, and Roberto Orci, executive producer and writer of Matador, a new original action series set to air on Rodriguez’s new cable channel.
Starting today through April 25, professional and aspiring content creators across all genres can submit their work at www.Green-Label.com showing how they “Do the DEW.” Entries should showcase the filmmakers’ unique take on their world, what they are passionate about and how they celebrate those passions.
All video entries will be judged by the Mountain Dew and Green-Label.com editorial teams, with 10 lucky finalists each receiving a $10,000 production grant to create a special piece of content for DEW. Finalists will present their work to an esteemed Green Label Studios panel at an exclusive DEW event this summer in New York City. In the end, one filmmaker will receive the top honors — a $250,000 production grant to create content for Green-Label.com and the chance to be mentored by Rodriguez and Orci.
“I believe that each of us has a story to tell – and that inspiration and the ability to tell those stories creatively can spark in anyone, at any time,” said Robert Rodriquez at a Green Label Studios event at SXSW. “I’m excited to partner with DEW to give professional and aspiring storytellers and creators a creative outlet to share with us their stories.”
Green Label Studios is the next step in the evolution of Mountain DEW’s legacy Green Label programs, which have always been about the discovery and expression of all things emerging youth culture – including music, art, style and action sports. Since launching in April 2013, Green-Label.com has exceeded expectations, with nearly 2.4 million unique page views in February 2014, with visitors spending nearly four minutes on the site each session.

Geoff Keighley Interview
With the release of Halo 4 right around the corner, Halo fever is in full effect. People will be lining up to get their hands on the game (and hey, if you want to avoid the lines and score a free Xbox 360 in the process, you can always enter our GameStop Halo 4 giveaway). With anticipation for the release mounting, we got to chat with video game journalist Geoff Keighley last week. Geoff was just coming off a visit to New York Comin-Con, and he’s working with Mountain Dew and Doritos to promote the launch of Double XP, where gamers can get access to exclusive features and enhance the Halo 4 multiplayer experience through DEWXP.com.
Basically, if you pick up different Mountain Dew and Doritos products, you can redeem codes on the DEXP.com site to load up on Double XP. Starting November 6, Halo 4 and Xbox LIVE gold members can use Double XP in game to unlock all kinds of goodies and to enter for a chance to win cool prizes like a limited edition Halo 4 wireless controller, a limited edition Halo 4 Xbox 360 console and toys, t-shirts games and more.

The Dark Knight Rises Xbox Giveaway
Christopher Nolan’s final Batman installment, The Dark Knight Rises, hits theaters this Friday. This is probably the most anticipated film of the summer, and I can’t wait to check it out. I was a big fan of the first two Batman films from Nolan, and I think these reboots did a lot to revitalize a genre that was getting quite stale.
Mountain Dew partnered up with Xbox to create www.DEWGothamCity.com, which is the go-to source for all things related to the Dark Knight. Xbox LIVE users can enter UTC codes directly in the BDE using their keypad or controller to enjoy the DEWGothamCity.com online experience. Users who visit the site can take a mugshot and explore different Gotham City environments.
These interactive Gotham City environments include:
- The Gotham City Convenience Store, where you can gram a copy of The Gotham Observer and read up on the latest headlines from around the city
- The Gotham City Police Department, where you can check out files of Gotham’s criminals, upload your own mugshot and get to know new characters.
- The Applied Sciences Lab, where you can examine Batman’s toys, including the Bat Suit and all those cool vehicles.
- The Bat Cave, where you can view exclusive video from The Dark Knight Rises.
Users will have the opportunity to win cool prizes like signed copies of the script from Christopher Nolan, costume replicas and other gear.
