Jordan Brand Teams Up With PSNY To Create A Unique Collection
According to Nike legend, in the ’90s his airness would personally challenge Jordan Brand designers to create bold silhouettes and patterns that pushed the boundaries of fashion and sport, and cemented the designs within the cultural lexicon. This legacy lives on in the Jordan Brand x Public School collection, which captures the energy of the big city and colorful personalities of the respective brands.
Celebrating the tailoring and sophisticated ease inherent to Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne’s Public School designs, the seven-piece collection leverages performance materials and strong silhouettes – while taking cues from the Air Jordan XII. Along with referencing the shoe’s design lines, the collaboration reflects its premium materials and elevated craftsmanship.
For years, Public School has been pushing the limits with its play on color, proportion, and styling. We are continuously looking to create modern silhouettes from classic forms,” said Maxwell Osborne, co-founder of Public School. “The Jordan Brand collaboration allowed us to apply this same philosophy and create pieces inspired by Jordan’s iconic designs, but through a Public School lens.”
Two footwear silhouettes complement the apparel collection. A favorite of the Public School founders, the Air Jordan XII design exemplifies the collaboration’s superior execution with a grey nubuck body that pays homage to the trademark PSNY color palette. The Jordan Horizon, a new Air Jordan model, includes a knitted upper mixed with PSNY details.
The Jordan x Public School collection will be available on Jordan.com and select Jordan retail stores on December 12.

Nike Brings Back The Air Jordan VI Maroon
For fervent fans, each Air Jordan stirs a distinct memory. One may recall the 63 points scored in the Air Jordan I, another the last-second heroics performed in the Air Jordan IV. These memories are refreshed with Retro releases. Part of the Retro Remaster initiative, they celebrate the legacy of the greatest player in history and introduce it to new generations.
Jordan Brand launched the Retro Remaster initiative in spring of 2015. In response to consumer feedback, it incorporates enhanced color options, cushioning, materials and shapes while retaining each shoe’s original character. The brand continues to evolve the remastering process by reintroducing the Nike Air logo on the heels of storied silhouettes. The decision, which honors original designs like never before, was approved by Michael Jordan and debuts this weekend on the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Maroon.”
The fan-favorite Air Jordan 6 Retro ‘Maroon’ returns for the first time ever on December 5. The premium leather upper, icy outsole and Nike Air heel logo will bring back memories of seeing it for the first time. The Maroon color has been matched to the first models, and the box was designed just like the original from 1991.

Spike Lee Gets Another Signature Shoe From Jordan Brand
Just as Michael Jordan helped changed the way we look at sneakers so did Spike Lee. He was in those iconic Nike commercials with MJ that showcased the early models from the Air Jordan line. Spike Lee is slowly catching up with Jordan in regards to having signature kicks. Today, Jordan Brand launches the Spike Forty, the third silhouette in the Spike Lee Franchise. Following the Jordan Spizike and Jordan Son of Mars, the Spike Forty takes cues from Jordan Brand’s iconic shoe lineage and Lee’s own authentic bond with basketball — signified by a contract signed between the acclaimed filmmaker and his hometown team in 1990.
Jordan designers leveraged Tinker Hatfield’s sketch vault and iconic aspects of the Air Jordan V, the game shoe unveiled in 1990, in creating the Spike Forty. The shoe features a clear outsole, reflective material and lace toggle — all reminiscent of the Air Jordan V — as well as additional details on the lace tips and tongue. The modern, crafted textile and molded TPU based upper represent Jordan DNA, while a phylon midsole with heel unit zoom air adds comfort.
The Spike Forty is available at select retail stores and Jordan.com for a suggested retail price of $180. Multiple colorways of the Spike Forty will land throughout the holiday season. Starting December 1, the Spike Forty will be available to customize on NikeID.

Jordan Brand Opens New Store In Chicago
Even though Michael Jordan has been out of the league as a player for a while his signature sneaker line is stronger than ever. To prove that fact Jordan Brand just opened up a new store in the city where he won six championships.
It has been over 30 years since the Windy City first embraced Michael Jordan as its own. The champion’s hard work and perseverance summarily proved the designation “Greatest Of All Time” or “GOAT” irrefutable. Last week 32 South State Street opened in Chicago, linking this extraordinary heritage to the future of Jordan Brand.
In partnership with Footaction, the store operates as a pinnacle retail experience that celebrates the performance, style and soul of the brand. Located directly above the 32 South State Street store, Station 23 aims to serve elite high school athletes from the local community who are looking to take their game to the next level. The training lab, created with Michael Jordan’s own commitment to training in mind, incorporates workout sessions by some of the most talented trainers in the Chicago area. It also features digital training stations, a basketball court and a premiere strength and conditioning facility.
At Station 23’s customization booth, fans are able to put personal touches on Jordan Brand apparel and footwear. On site machines provide custom vinyl applique, patches and direct to garment image printing.

Russell Westbrook Influences The Latest Jordan Brand Shoe
Even though the NBA season is on a summer break there are still some sneakers that you need to pick up. These new shoes from Russell Westbrook are more for the causal lifestyle than the court. Throughout its 30-year history, the Air Jordan franchise has gained a reputation for on-court innovation. Now, the Jordan Brand is celebrating an evolution of its own. The Jordan Westbrook 0, crafted for basketball superstar and budding fashion influencer Russell Westbrook, is the first signature lifestyle shoe created by the Jordan Brand.
At Westbrook’s request, the original style pays homage to the franchise’s storied history by taking cues from a few of the most popular Air Jordan silhouettes. For example, the all-leather upper features ribbing inspired by the ballistic mesh upper of the Air Jordan XI.
“The goal was to keep the design for the Jordan Westbrook 0 clean and versatile, with a nod to Jordan heritage,” explains Westbrook. “It was important for the shoe to embody my sense of style and have the potential to be dressed up or dressed down.”
Clean lines and simple colors speak to Westbrook’s desire for footwear that can easily pair with any outfit or print, while the autoclave outsole gives the Jordan Westbrook 0 a modern, fashion-forward silhouette.
Meanwhile, to imbue the shoe with signature Jordan Brand innovation, the outsole has also been siped, a process that cuts the outsole to make it more flexible and produces a clean, symmetrical look.
“Growing up, I did not have the access or the means to buy shoes for lifestyle and fashion purposes,” recalls Westbrook. “I wanted to make sure my shoe was accessible to kids and am excited to see how they will wear the Jordan Westbrook 0 and express themselves through the shoe.”
The Jordan Westbrook 0 is currently available in either black or white at Jordan.com and select Jordan retailers for a suggested retail price of $130. Grey and red styles will debut globally August 1.

Jordan Brand Commemorates Franchise’s 30th Anniversary
In 1985, newcomer Michael Jordan turned heads. In addition to leading his team to the playoffs, Jordan finished the season with a scoring average of 28.2 points per game; set Chicago single-season records for points, field goals, free throws and steals; and received the prestigious NBA Rookie of the Year Award. Jordan’s performance that year set the tone for the next 30 years, forever changing the game of basketball and sports around the world. In the ensuing years, he also came to lead a global brand that revolutionized on- and off-court footwear and apparel – through the Jordan Brand.
Thirty years, celebrated as the pearl anniversary, is an ideal moment to recognize what has made the Jordan Brand great – its fans. A pearl is forged over time through the formation of strong, resilient layers. Looking back on the 30 years of the Air Jordan franchise, Jordan Brand has become a performance basketball staple synonymous with pinnacle performance and an endless pursuit of greatness.
What started with a single pair of sneakers has evolved into a globally celebrated franchise, as each iteration of the game shoe pushes the limits of performance and style. In addition to growing its collection of sneakers and game-changing innovations, Jordan Brand has extended beyond its namesake by welcoming more than 50 world-class basketball athletes, such as Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jabari Parker, Kawhi Leonard, to the family. From Paul’s speed and competitive spirit to Westbrook’s stunning ability to take flight, characteristics of each athlete’s gameplay mirror that of Jordan’s. While they are not Michael, there is no doubt they are Jordan.
Jordan Brand has always looked to Michael Jordan as its source of inspiration, yet many of Jordan’s celebrated attributes are not his alone. Anyone who strives for greatness, anyone who has overcome obstacles in pursuit of success shares a common link with Jordan.
The Jordan Brand family is also wider than the elite professional athletes of its signature ranks and continues to transcend a variety of sports, ranging from professional football athletes to boxing to track and field athletes. The family includes anyone who draws inspiration from MJ’s greatness, from a high school athlete chasing a championship, to someone striving for a win on sport’s biggest stage. The athletes who draw inspiration from Jordan’s example and choose to wear the Jumpman are not Michael, but they are Jordan.
To celebrate 30 years of chasing greatness, the Jordan Brand will celebrate the many stories of those working to be their best in a given pursuit. Throughout the year ahead, the brand will celebrate everyday — and not so everyday — athletes who continue to draw inspiration from Michael Jordan’s championship mindset.
All-Star Weekend has always been a significant moment for the Jordan Brand, whether it occasioned a great performance by MJ, the release of the newest game shoe, or simply a time when consumers celebrated with the brand during one of the most exciting basketball moments of the year.
This year, Jordan Brand invites fans to celebrate its 30th anniversary in New York City with experiences created specifically for All-Star Weekend. From Thursday, Feb. 12, to Sunday, Feb. 15, Jordan Brand will open distinctive spaces for our fans to join the celebration. Stay tuned to Nike News and @Jumpman23 for more details in the days to come.

Jordan Brand Unveils Jordan Hangar
For the man who showed us that we can fly, (well maybe him and not us!) Michael Jordan finally gets his own hangar. The expansive Jordan Hangar is situated in an undisclosed nearly 80,000-square-foot plane hangar in west L.A., which was once owned by Howard Hughes and rumored to be where the Spruce Goose was built. Included in the Jordan Hangar are some incredible elements to help raise your game.
A full-size, regulation basketball court, with a stylized silver base and Jordan fractal pattern up and down the floorboards. The brand’s social/digital handle, @jumpman23, runs along the baseline, and CP and Blake’s logos are featured in the paint between the basket and free throw line. Sleek, light-colored, multi-tiered stands rise up beyond the far backboard; and, above the court – more than halfway to the 75-foot-high rafters – is a three-paneled jumbotron, with each panel measuring 100 square feet. Along with featuring games between local high schools, Jordan said the court will be used by Jordan Brand players for offseason training as well as possible future product testing.
Entering the Jordan Hangar, where the hashtag #takeflight in cement greets every high flier on the way in, guests walk down a mini Hollywood Blvd. Walk of Fame, with each Jordan Brand basketball athlete getting their own star. On the wall in front as you turn into the open space: a white wall with artistic carvings of MJ’s accomplishments.
Two performance measurement elements stand out in the hangar as you walk toward the court. The first is The Cube, a 10-foot high, four-sided box, with a video screen on each side. Players can grab a ball and test their skills while mimicking the timed, repetitive on-screen drills performed by the athlete on-screen, all moves Chris Paul himself uses in-game – including his famous jab step and the beginnings of his crossover. During the drill, a voice from the box counts down the time the player must continue that move, as well as hints on how to improve throughout. Moving from The Cube toward the court is a runway, launch and landing pad measuring a player’s jump, calculating the pounds of force generated on liftoff. Through sensors on the pad, the information comes up within seconds on the screen.
The Jordan Hangar also features two NBA-style locker rooms with a dozen lockers each: one locker room for CP, another for Blake. Each player has a dedicated locker, complete with golden nameplate, which are reserved solely for their use. The locker room has a lounge with leather chairs, couches and a 75-inch flat-screen TV, set up for NBA 2K matchups.
Plus here is a video that gives you even more access to the Jordan Hangar.
