GameStop Halo 4 Xbox 360 Giveaway
Halo 4 hits stores on November 6 and the most anticipated video game release in a long time is getting a push from a ton of different channels, from Mountain Dew to Doritos and more. GameStop is getting in on the fun, too.
From now until November 6, gamers can visit Halo4Vote.com, pre-order Halo 4 and vote each for one of three bonus exclusives, every day until the release. The first bonus exclusive has already been decided by voters. It’s the Artic Battle Rifle Weapon Skin. Voting for the second bonus is going on right now. From now until October 22, you can vote for War Games haven Premium Theme or the Yellow Warrior Avatar Armor. The options for the third bonus will be announced on October 22.
Halo 4 is set in the aftermath of Halo 3, where we follow Master Chief as he “returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe.” Sounds pretty heavy, huh?
Halo 4 is the first Halo release to not be developed by Bungie Studios. For the fourth installment, Microsoft-owned 343 industries has taken the charge. With such a strong base of loyal Halo fans, the pressure is on to deliver a product that’s true to the original trilogy, but can stand alone in its own right. The anticipation is mounting.

GameStop Call of Duty MW3 and Xbox Giveaway
We’re partnering up with Gamestop for a sick giveaway to get the word out about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 “Pick Your Perks” Sweepstakes. Call of Duty MW3 will be available at GameStop stores nationwide November 8, and to ramp up the launch, GameStop has this sweet sweepstakes thing going on at GameStop.com/CallofDuty.
The sweepstakes gives Call of Duty players the ability to craft their own, customizable prize pack full of unique perks. Call of Duty fans can pre-order Modern Warfare 3 and play every day for a chance to win cash, vehicles, VIP experiences and tons of other prizes of their choosing. The perks change weekly, so players need to check back every Monday to see the new perks for the week.
Gamers can combine three different perks to create their own prize pack. The pro pack option is a preselected perk, but you can choose two additional perks out of a list of available prize options. So for example, this week the preselected perk is an extreme flying experience where you get to experience the thrill of skydiving and fly through the air in a vertical wind tunnel. For Perk 2, you can select a Sea-Doo GTI Diver Propulsion Vehicle, an MSI Windpad tablet or a VIP trip to Comic-Con 2012. The options for Perk 3 include a Looxcie Video Bluetooth headset, 100,000 Microsoft Points or Vuzix Virtual Reality Eyewear.

LA Noire Badge Pursuit Sweepstakes
The latest video game release from the fine folks at RockStar hits the shelves this week. LA Noire is throwback to the film noir flavor of 1940s and 50s murder mystery crime films. It was the first video game to be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival, and it promises to be a slick addition to the list of solid RockStar favorites.
LA Noire takes place in 1947 Los Angeles. The action follows Cole Phelps, a World War 2 hero and aspiring young officer in the LAPD. Playing as Phelps, you rise up through the ranks of the department, partnering up with different players as you go from patrol man to traffic detective to homicide, vice and eventually end up solving cases as an arson investigator.
The game combines elements of murder mystery intrigue, general crime solving, gun battles, foot chases, car chases and independent side investigations that you can pick up from dispatch. If the game looks half as good as it sounds and plays anything like Grand Theft or Red Dead, it’s gonna be sweet.
You can purchase the game on Tuesday, May 17 or you can pre-order from GameStop and get some extra goodies and a chance to win $30,000 or thousands of LA Noire prizes. Anyone who pre-orders LA Noire from GameStop gets exclusive access to “The Naked City” Vice Case and The Badge Pursuit Challenge. With the Badge Pursuit sweepstakes, customers follow a trail of badges that lead them to different sites on the web that GameStop appreciates. The goal is to locate each hidden badge on these websites, and click to move on to the next challenge. Badges can either be displayed images or embedded links, so you have to look carefully.
During the Badge Pursuit sweepstakes, you’ll come across exclusive LA Noire content. After your search is complete, you can enter to win a grand prize of $30K, a first place LA Noire prize pack or second place prizes that give you access to tons of downloadable content.
