Jordan Brand Teams Up With PSNY To Create A Unique Collection
According to Nike legend, in the ’90s his airness would personally challenge Jordan Brand designers to create bold silhouettes and patterns that pushed the boundaries of fashion and sport, and cemented the designs within the cultural lexicon. This legacy lives on in the Jordan Brand x Public School collection, which captures the energy of the big city and colorful personalities of the respective brands.
Celebrating the tailoring and sophisticated ease inherent to Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne’s Public School designs, the seven-piece collection leverages performance materials and strong silhouettes – while taking cues from the Air Jordan XII. Along with referencing the shoe’s design lines, the collaboration reflects its premium materials and elevated craftsmanship.
For years, Public School has been pushing the limits with its play on color, proportion, and styling. We are continuously looking to create modern silhouettes from classic forms,” said Maxwell Osborne, co-founder of Public School. “The Jordan Brand collaboration allowed us to apply this same philosophy and create pieces inspired by Jordan’s iconic designs, but through a Public School lens.”
Two footwear silhouettes complement the apparel collection. A favorite of the Public School founders, the Air Jordan XII design exemplifies the collaboration’s superior execution with a grey nubuck body that pays homage to the trademark PSNY color palette. The Jordan Horizon, a new Air Jordan model, includes a knitted upper mixed with PSNY details.
The Jordan x Public School collection will be available on Jordan.com and select Jordan retail stores on December 12.
