Marvin Isley Passed Away Today
Marvin Isley, the bassist for the decades-spanning, genre-bending, funky-family group The Isley Brothers, passed away today in Chicago. He was 56 years old. The Isley Brothers and their music covered everything from soul to rock to funk, disco, hip hop and all the tunes in between. Marvin Isley’s funky licks on the bass helped drive some of the band’s most memorable hits.

RIP Marvin!
