The end of October always is good times. There seems to be Halloween parties everywhere. Whether you are planning one of your own or going out there are a few new cocktails that you must try this holiday.

For those who are into beer, the Plundering Pumpkin is a simple drink featuring Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, pumpkin beer and ginger ale. Looking for something else? Try the Morgan Monster recipe. It is a sure bet to make your party that even better. You can also try the Captain Cider. It is a great fall drink that is great to enjoy even after Halloween.

The Plundering Pumpkin

1 oz. Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum

3 oz. Pumpkin Beer

1 oz. Ginger Ale

Directions: Combine ingredients in a tall glass filled with ice, garnish and stir.

The Morgan Monster

1.5 oz. Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum

0.5 oz. Sour Mix

1.5 oz. Soda Water

Aromatic Bitters

2 Lemon Wedges

Directions: Combine all ingredients (except bitters) in a tall glass, filled with ice, float bitters on top of drink.

The Captain Cider

1 oz. Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum

1.5 oz. Cranberry Juice

1.5 oz. Hard Cider

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a rocks glass filled with ice, garnish with apple wedges and cranberry.

Halloween is this Friday. There are so many things to worry about as we near one of the best party days of the year. What costume should I wear? Where am I going to celebrate? Should I join in that group costume idea with my friends? Store bought costume or homemade?

Ingredients:

1 part Courvoisier VS

1 part Fresh Lemon Sour

.5 part DeKuyper® Apricot Brandy

4 parts Apple Cider

Directions:

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon spiral twist and a dash of fresh ground cinnamon.

WITCHES BREW

Ingredients:

1.25 parts Courvoisier VSOP

.75 parts DeKuper Sour Apple Pucker

Splash of orange juice

Splash of grenadine

Directions:

Build cocktail in order in an ice filled highball glass. Garnish with a cherry.

Directions: Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker and strain into a chilled glass. To spook the brew up, celebrity chef Nadia G recommends freezing a surgical glove.

Princess Potion

1 bottle Once Upon a Vine Lost Slipper Sauvignon Blanc

8 oz. Grapefruit juice

8 oz. Lemon juice

8 oz. Lime juice

8 oz. Simple syrup

1 Cucumber

1 Bunch of mint

Directions: Pre-cut ingredients and pour into punch bowl. Serves 4.

The Empire State Building’s world-famous LED tower lights were synchronized to Halloween-themed music that was broadcasted on Clear Channel’s powerhouse radio stations Z100 and 103.5 KTU. Internationally-acclaimed lighting designer Marc Brickman choreographed the show and the reveal of the building’s new antenna LED lights — which will add over 200 feet of new lights to NYC’s skyline.

Reebok is giving out an early treat this year for Halloween. Reebok has the Pump Omni Lite “Pumpkin” for a pre-Halloween release. Looking like a Jack-O-Lantern, the Pump Omni Lite has an orange and black theme to it. These kicks will complement any costume this year.
